Hi! I have just finished my first Avatar-comic. Please, read this explanation before:

It will be updated many times, cos I'm too lazy now to check spelling, grammar and other language things. I'm not a native speaker, so if u see a lot of mistakes don't be angry. Please tell me about them ))))

Hope u aprecciate the idea itself, cos the pictures are far from being good((((

And about inspiration, at the university we had an anthropology course. I remember that we read a lot of books about different tribes and their traditions, and that it's common for different tribes to have different preferences in sex, I mean positions. Hey! what if it's the same among water- and firebenders.

The screencaps were taken from the piandao.org (great stock!), the textures were downloaded long time ago from the different sites and unfortunately have no credits.

I know that making fanworks based on other people's fanworks can sometimes cause Drama and that different fandoms have different expectations about this sort of thing so I thought I'd ask here.

I was inspired to make a fancomic following on from rufftoon's AU fancomic. Lacking any other obvious means of contact I asked her if she was ok with me posting it in two comments (on the comic itself and then a month or so later on her main page) but she hasn't gotten back to me. Would it be horribly against fannish norms me to just post it? It's not likely to offend anyone except maybe by it's silliness.

Does any one know the status of the Jessie Flower website? Or has anyone else tried to purchase an autograph recently?

I wanted to purchase an autograph from her on her website (located here http://www.jessieflower.com/photorequest.htm) but I sent the $10 over paypal and received no response. It has been 1 month now, and I'm still waiting. I didn't find any information on her on imdb.com either (as in no recent work). Has anyone else had this problem?

The email that I sent the money to on paypal says 'unverified'. =\

I had to open a dispute on paypal, in the hopes I can receive some response. If Jessie is too busy to do them, then they should take the paypal thing off the website. XD And I wouldn't push the issue except that it was for an anniversary gift =<

I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

(PS hopefully everyone knows this, but if not; Jessie Flower is Toph's voice actress).

Variety has an article on the The Last Airbender presentation at the Upfronts: Nick tubthumps 'The Last Airbender'.

Pic, based on the Nick cartoon and starring "Slumdog Millionaire" thesp Dev Patel and "Twilight" actor Jackson Rathbone, initially attracted Shyamalan because of connections to Hindu mythology. Shyamalan spoke highly of the pic's lead, Noah Ringer, who was cast through an open call. "He's homeschooled and he plays a monk in the movie."

M. Night Shyamalan, who is writing, directing and producing “The Last Airbender” for the new Nickelodeon Movies banner, offered chatty, folksy remarks to the audience of agency and advertiser executives at the Nickelodeon presentation in Midtown Manhattan.

Well, as folksy as a high-profile Hollywood director can be. At one point, he told the audience how he was turned on to “The Last Airbender,” based on a Nickelodeon series, when he and his daughter watched the DVDs of the first season in “the theater in our house.”

Hey guys,
I'm very new to this fandom (like maybe a fortnight) and right now it's my new Best Thing Evah, to the extent that I've devoured all of canon and been hit by fic ideas already.

But anyway. I have a request. I'm looking for a map of the four nations, with the Avatar's route shown on it. I've head of one mentioned around the place but haven't managed to turn it up by googling, so I was wondering if anyone had a link.

Allllso, and the main reason I'm asking, I'm positing (for fic purposes) the existence of a Pacific-equivalent ocean to the west of the Fire nation and the east of the Earth nation. I don't think there's any canon about its presence or absence, but I might have missed it. Plus, I'd know nothing at all about any non-canon 'word of god' on the subject.

Notes: So this is a scene that I kept waiting to see happen in Season Three except for it never did. Started off as a drabble, but it grew. (Genfic, takes place after Sokka's Master.)
Summary: When Sokka and Aang are being chased by some Fire Nation guards they run into some interesting individuals that have more relevancy than they realize.
